School of Doubt is looking for writers!
Are you an educator or an educator-to-be? Do you work in an education-related field? Do you like science and skepticism?
Most importantly, do you have something to say about it?
School of Doubt is looking for contributors of all academic specialties and career stages to write for our blog. Writers are expected to produce at least two posts per month on topic of their own choosing, and are also welcome to volunteer to take on one of our regular features (Required Readings, Pop Quiz) once per week should they so desire.
All are welcome to apply, but we are always particularly interested in recruiting writers whose experiences in academia give them a unique perspective; educators belonging to traditionally under-represented groups in academia are especially encouraged to get in touch with us.
To Apply
Please apply through the School of Doubt Contact Form. Be sure to include your name, email address, a short bio, and if possible please include a short sample of your writing (c. 500 words) or a link to where we can find some. If you would rather email us a writing sample, please let us know in the body of the form and we’ll get in touch with you through the email address you provide us.
Application FAQ

I am not an educator, but I know someone who is and would be perfect for SoD! Can I tell them about this fantastic opportunity? Yes, please do!
I am retired/between positions/in school full-time/otherwise not currently employed in education, but have substantial related experience. Can I still apply? Sure!
I think feminism and equality are dumb. That isn’t really a question, but anyway please don’t apply here. We share the Skepchick network’s overall commitment to equality and inclusivity for all.
