I’m so glad Obama’s comment put the issue of women being professionally judged by their appearance into a mainstream discussion. Granted, there were many idiotic responses. By and large, the media failed spectacularly in their discussion of the subject. But this sexist double standard is overdue for exposure.
Also, cudos to the president for immediately apologizing. That sets a good precedent
