- Those tree crabs are at it again.
- Cute Animal Friday! You know your day won’t be complete without seeing a video involving an amorous parrot and Stephen Fry. And once you’ve wiped the tears of laughter out of your eyes, check out these freaking adorable baby koalas.
Polly wants a shagging!
Hi there!
Not going to go there, I am not going to … aw, screw it … [sigh]
Does that mean that Stephen Fry is “Polly-Amorous”?? eh? eh?
I feel so ashamed. :(
Screw the cracker!
Who’s the “pretty boy” now?!?!?
You like that cloacal action, don’t you?!?!?
Ah, but does the pope shit in the woods?
It is the question of our time…
Sorry, I couldn’t make it past the scrolling message under Glenn Beck, “… the weight bar fell on his throat, causing severe injuries to his larynx …”
Baby koala are incredibly adorable. However after seeing some at a koala rescue in Brisbane this summer they stink to high heavens. Think about how strong eucalyptus smells and then imagine it going through a digestive system…. *shudder*
@MiddleMan: @Draconius: Can I nominate you both for COTW? Because parrot sex jokes are awesome.
More on Ardipithecus ramidus.
Does a bear shit on the…never mind…
@Amanda: RAWRK! MiddleMan wants a COTW! RAWRK!
@MiddleMan: If the parrot sex jokes weren’t worth a COTW, that was.
@Zapski: You should hear me do my parrot imitation, my undead friend…
Apparently, Glenn Beck recently endorsed Muse on air. Muse contacted him and demanded a retraction.
Always had my suspicions about ol’ Ike newton.
@MiddleMan: If it’s anything like the video, I think I may pass. The last thing I need is a pregnant head. ;)
@Zapski: Not avid to be gravid?
I bet God blames Glenn Beck for all of America’s problems.
@catgirl: If he did, Beck would just make fun of his “leftist” son…
I don’t usually watch those Beck Youtube videos, because I long ago dismissed him as a lying douche bag. However, I watched this one, for whatever reason… Wow. The lies, distortions, and misinformation in there are insane. He cannot possible be stupid enough to believe what he was saying, and that means he said it all knowing it was not true.
What the hell could his motive be?
Why don’t other conservatives call him out?
Why don’t (real) Christians disassociate themselves from him?
On the somewhat bright side, isn’t he the one that all the advertisers have recently boycotted?
I feel pretty sure that Beck is not genuine. In fact, I don’t think he’s very good at faking it. People like Ann Coulter I wonder about, but Glenn Beck seems to be stifling his own laughter, and presumably letting it all out on the way to the bank.
On PZ’s blog today there’s this link (http://www.metronews.ca/halifax/work/article/328102–new-theory-may-answer-missing-link-question) that essentially claims apes descended from man… I’m quite certain Creationists are now experiencing massive erections across the world. Such crap.
@banyan: You may be right (and I think Coulter is faking it, too). But, if that is the case, then he (and she) don’t care about all the terrible damage being done, as long as they continue to profit. That’s evil.
I don’t want this to sound like a joke but I am seriously going to mail Glenn Beck a copy of the God Delusion, if he writes back I’ll let you know
@DataJack: I’m not sure which alternative is worse.
@magicdude20:
I’m sure he’s heard of the book, and of Dawkins, and is uninterested in what it says. Don’t waste your copy or your postage.
Besides, even if you change his mind, he’s not going to throw away his entire brand over it.
Maybe someone could do a youtube clip in which God blames Glenn Beck for America’s problems.
While we’re at it, maybe someone could round up Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort lookalikes and do a live-action version of the crab comic.
@Steve:
Hey, nice shirt!
@DataJack: On a completely unrelated note, are you by any chance jack47?
Glenn has said before that the real problem is bloggers think he’s serious when he’s joking and think he’s joking when he’s serious.
If true, all that says to me is he needs to rethink being in the radio business.
Of course, he was probably joking…
@Steve: I am not, sorry. I am the one who commented on your arboreal sea-bug blog, though.
@Elyse: That was totally inappropriate.
@Zapski:
Wearing that shirt, he was totally asking for it… also, he asked for it.
Pretty ironic that Beck and Edward R. Murrow are from the same community. Nothing in the air I guess.
Heh.. New Zealand knows how to show Steven Fry a good time.
/me feels a little bit of national pride
Thanks for the link to the pond monster article. :)
Bananas!
“3 groves at the top and 2 groves at the bottom” he says.
I just put my thumb and first finger in that shape, and I count 7 total groves: *4* on the finger, 2 on the thumb, and one where the thumb and finger intersect. So God either messed up on the finger, miscounted on the thumb, and/or designed the banana wrong. >;->
And who would have expected plant material to be bio-degradable? Oh, clearly this is evidence of a higher power! >;->
“Naturist raped by parrot on live TV.”
Need I say more?!?!? >;->
I wish I could access that show (Last chance to see) legally here in the states without having to have cable. Ah well, guess I’ll wait for the DVD set, and I really need to locate the original book and radio series with Douglas Adams.
