Evolution Street Art

I adore the artist Blu, who is Internet-famous for his graffiti animation videos. Here’s his latest, Big Bang, Big Boom, an artist’s take on the origin and evolution of life. Higher quality on Vimeo.

  1. Completely forgot to blink!

Must immediately rush home and show to my wife and children!

  2. Rebecca Watson,

I just watched this exact same video over on another blog. I found the end to be rather disturbing actually.

  3. Yeah. Disturbing. Fantastic execution, but that ending came across as hostile and cynical, not as any kind of warning. I went from utter glee through the majority of the video to feeling deeply sorry for such a hopeless individual (or group of individuals) at the end. The artistic statement seemed… …well… …regressive and backwards. I couldn’t help but detect the theory that there is a ‘human nature’ and it is demonic in that ending. A theory I think is bullshit.
