Chicago: Friday the Thirteenth Party!

Lucky you! You’re invited to our mofo WTF Friday the Thirteenth party!

It’s going to be part fundraiser, part awesome. You should go. Totally go. We’ll have all you can eat food and a cash bar… and all the luck you can handle — good bad and otherwise.

Women Thinking Free Friday the 13th Bash

Do you handle reflective objects with tender care, lest they break?

Do avoid dark colored felines at all costs?

Do you tote the amputated feet of small defenseless mammals?

Do you diligently watch where you step in hopes of sparing your mother’s spinal health?

If you answered “no” to the above questions then we’ve got a party for you! On Friday May 13, the Women Thinking Free is hosting a very special party, free of superstition and nonsense. Join us at Galway Arms at 8pm for a fun filled night of tempting fate, casting spells and capturing souls. Bring your small mirrors for our patented whack-a-mirror game and your trusty umbrella because you never know when the roof might spring a leak. Souls may be captured, salt may be spilt and ladders may be walked under. Anything can happen on Friday the 13th! Curry fries, hummus, chicken tenders and cheese quesadillas will be plentiful and guests are encouraged to bring cameras to do their own spirit capturing. Remember, you have to invite 7 people in the next 7 minutes or you will have bad luck for 10 years!

  1. Well, I answered “Yes” to the first question. Not because of any belief in bad luck but because breaking a mirror would leave me with a broken mirror so I’ll both have a bunch of razor-sharp shards to get rid of and I’ll have to buy a new mirror.

However, I’m not on the North American continent and I have other plans.

  2. Elyse, We will buy you as martini at the event if you tell us the meaning behind the cover cost of $23.34. We can not figure it out, and have consulted both our psychics and our astrologers, to no avail. Man, we should fire those clowns. I wonder if they will see it coming?

Also, PSS = Peculiar Slacker Sarcasm, I think.
