Ah yes, Quantum Jumping. Did you all know that the Google ads on the mobile version of Skepchick have ads for this website almost every day? (I know you can’t help it)
I love the testimonial on the front page: “I had a headache that went away after a little while. Thanks Quantum Jumping!”
Anyway, I want to meet the quantum version of me who purchased this and beat him about the head and neck.
And the Quantum Jumping page has signatures! Even one from Max Planck! That must make it real! (Am I really using that many exclamation points? Yes!)
Where can I get a gun that shoots lightning like that on the Wired cover. And what can I make with it?

I want an army of alternate universe versions of me to stab people who misuse the word “Quantum”.
As soon as I saw that copper rods I thought “Wow I can’t WAIT for you to mail me something that looks like a pipe bomb!”
Also I have to agree with DataJack about the misuse of the word quantum and the fail on understanding the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.
Trekkies survey: “The respondents were mostly single, over 40, and well-educated. ” In other words, as one stereotype is struck down, the one that Trekkies are undateable nerds is reaffirmed. ;)

Everett’s “many worlds” interpretation is not the only one compatible with QM. Also, a new world is only created when a quantum interaction occurs (i.e. a particle’s wave function collapses), not continuously as the ad implies.
Also, they make the same mistake as many creationists. The only possible universes are those that derive from an earlier possible universe. The only possible universes that include me are those that derive from universes that include my parents, in which they met and had me as a child. This is of course not only an infinitesimal fraction of all imaginable universes, it is an infinitesimal fraction of all universes consistent with MWI. I doubt very much there are any universes with me as a Chinese tea farmer, just as there are none with crockoducks.

I don’t think the Wired article mentions it but Limor Fried runs Adafruit Industries. All sorts of cool geeky stuff there, especially if you’re into open-source projects.
