Congratulations, A!

The news is finally out: our own A B Kovacs is now Director of Operations for the JREF!

Over the past year, A has proven herself to be a strong, independent woman who gets things done. Her first role here was taking on the Skepchick & Skepdude calendars when I didn’t think I’d have the time to produce them for 2008/2009. I didn’t think anyone would be able to handle the job, much less to work so hard at coming up with fresh ideas and to keep going even when I wasn’t there to push. She recently started editing our new Skepchick podcasts (the most recent of which will be debuting very soon), and as always she’s shown incredible talent and enthusiasm.

Of course, it’s not just about her work ethic – to succeed as an awesome Skepchick, you need something more. A is vivacious, lighting up the room (or the bar) with her smile, her laugh, her quick wit. I know I speak for all the other Skepchicks – and all others who value rationality in general – when I say we’re proud to have her on our team.

So, congratulations to A for getting a sweet gig, and congratulations to the JREF for getting a sweet Skepchick!
