ah nuts. i already ditched work once already this year to see James Randi at the CWA in Boudler(actually ditched three times that week). Its gonna take some fancy foot-work to ditch work AGAIN to go see PZ. would not want to miss this for anything! In case I do, I sure hope you’ll have an follow-up post next week and let us know all about how cool it was!
Somebody needs to smack the author of that email. PZ’s last name is spelled wrong in the second line, then right at the bottom.
We’re not related, but PZ and I share a last name. People are always sticking a gratuitous “e” into it, and it irks me.
But good for them for getting him to come speak.
Not sure if I can get off for the afternoon either (it’s a 4 hour event for me, 1 hour driving in each direction), but we’ll see!
Guess which ‘Lil Skepchick will be going this Friday…
SQUEEE!!!
Cool, Elles! I am going to try to be there too. So we should definitely get our picture taken with PZ to make everyone else jealous! :-)
Gotta say that while I find PZ an interesting character and his blogging efforts have been informative and wonderfully pot stirring; he was sadly the most boring speaker at TAM this past June. I know some will cast aspersions in my direction for saying this but his lecture about bat wings had me nodding off. Not sure I’d take time off work to hear him again, especially when reading his blog is so much more entertaining and informative.
FYI, I put this on the Skepchick events calendar! Enjoy! I’m jealous :)
Fail!
Why Friday, when I’ll be out of town…And Randi came to Boulder without my knowing? Where have I been? :c
Sweet!
Look for a girl with a fedora hat that has a Darwin fish on it.
Totally going…i work downtown and tomorrow is my last day before starting a new job so a 3 hour lunch is do-able :)
