um, Rebecca, are you being modest?
I just read this on Hemant’s site, friendlyatheist.com:
#10 in “What’s Wired This Month”:
Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe
Ever been tempted to have your palm or your cards read? If you answered “Never!” then you’re the target audience for this weekly podcast, produced by the New England Skeptical Society. Neurologist Steven Novella and his team (including blogger Rebecca Watson, aka the Skepchick) debunk news stories, creationism, pseudoscience, and pretty much any attempt to pass off faith as fact. Featuring interviews with celebrity disbelievers like Walter Isaacson, Simon Singh, and Bill Nye, it’s a welcome relief for anyone who occasionally wonders whether they’re the last logical person left in the galaxy. (Statistically impossible, but still…)
Rebecca, how come you haven’t been bragging about being mentioned in Wired? (If you’ve mentioned it and I missed the bragging, I apologize!)
RAD! Thanks, Donna! An SGU listener wrote in mentioning something about it but didn’t include details, so I was totally in the dark until now!
And thanks Hemant!
Exclamation points are awesome!!
Oh, also, I want to take this moment to say that the most recent episode of SGU kicked ass, mostly thanks to Captain Disillusion! He was a fun interview and I know a lot of you have been wondering when we were going to get him on. Here’s the link to that show!
I have no idea why the guys put a picture of a bigfoot costume as the big photo. Possibly because they’re (hetero) guys.
So now you have a direct link to one of my fave 80’s artists, Laurie Anderson. She was on the cover of issue #1.
When will you be available to autograph copies?
Ha, Walt I’ll be autographing copies at the next Skeptics in the Pub! :p
