SkepLit Reading Update
Hi All! Just a reminder that this month we’re reading Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science by Jeff Meldrum.
I’m almost finished with this interesting book and will be sending interview questions to the author this weekend. I’ve always loved the idea of Sasquatch, so I’m having a good time with this one. If you haven’t picked up a copy at the bookstore or library, there’s still time to start reading along, as we’ll be on this book through the end of April. I’ll post about a few sections I have found interesting over the next couple of weeks, and then I’ll post the interview at the end of the month.
Here are the books that are coming up in May and June.
May
Ten Zen Seconds: Twelve Incantations for Purpose, Power and Calm by Eric Maisel. I know it sounds woo-ish, but it’s not. Eric is a very non-superstitous and down to earth creativity coach and an incredibly prolific writer himself. You can learn more about him on his website at http://ericmaisel.com/. I’ll be posting my interview with Eric on May 28th as part of his blog book tour.
June
In June we’ll be reading Gormglaith by Heidi Wyss. This e-book is described by the author as a “Radical lesbian separatist cult hit set in a plausible future with a witchy bent. It has a naturalistic outlook (no codswallop fantasy or ‘magick’) and has gotten several strong reviews.” It sounds like a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to download a copy. (You can read it online in html format, or download a PDF.) I’ll probably print it out, though, because I’m not a big fan of reading long pieces online.
