Florida! Let’s Rally Together on Saturday!

This election day in Florida, Amendment 8 will be on the ballot. If passed, it will allow religious organizations to use taxpayer dollars to fund religious work, in clear violation of separation of church and state. If successful, you can be sure you’ll see similar legislation popping up in state legislatures all over the country.

Remind Florida’s representatives that we value church/state separation by joining the Florida Secular Rally this Saturday in Tom Brown Park, Tallahassee! I’ll be there along with Aron Ra, Shelley Segal, Nate Phelps, Greydon Square, Jessica Alhquist, and many more. The event is free and there will maybe be snacks! I’m not positive about the snacks but it always seems as though someone shows up with snacks so maybe! With or without snacks, I’m very excited to be going. Look, there’s a video!

See you there, Floridians!

  1. Events like this make me regret my move to Arizona.
But job hunting forced the move.

This is the first I’ve heard of this amendment.
    And I’m shocked. Yet I know I shouldn’t be.
So long as it’s christian in nature, lawmakers see little reason to enforce church/state seperation.

    I hope reason does prevail.
    Fight the good fight!
