- An introduction to game theory– I know I’m not the only nerd out there interested in this.
- Study finds nice guys finish first– Or at least people like you more.
- Those stem cell injections in China are a bad idea– I think the title says it all.
- Woo invades the military– Because proselytizing wasn’t bad enough?
- Are generics really just as good?– In most cases, yes, but in others definitely not.
Maybe the stem cell treatments are from Gallifrey.
After all, the chairman is named “Doctor Hu”.
Oh, nice. Game theory is one of my obsessions. I doubt that this is coincidence, but the first comment on the game theory post is to a “Nice guys finish first” article at USAToday.
Cool stuff.
My mathematician friend Ben Allen (the one who looks uncannily like John Cusack) also recently blogged about the Prisoner’s Dilemma.
Oh, and this was a nice surprise for me this morning: I critiqued a dismissive review of Irreligion, and John Allen Paulos showed up in the comment thread.
Thanks for the links, Blake.
I loved Paulos’ response letter to the NYT.
Amanda, I haven’t seen that letter. Can you post a link? Thanks!
Here you go, Donna.
Thanks.
What I find ridiculous about the “these authors don’t know their theology” argument is that “these authors” are not writing to theologians, they are writing to the general public, of whom very few know anything about theology. In fact, in many fundie and evangelical churches, “theology” is a dirty word.
Hey, writerdd, that’s a point you should make in your book!
