Your post here!
New Skepchick feature! Hooray!
I’m gonna make you famous, baby! Famous! All you have to do is submit some writing to me!
Skepchick is now accepting your submissions for guest posts/rants/poetry about interpretive dance/essays. We will be picking one post a week and running it in place of the old Wednesday Afternoon Inquisition. You can write whatever you want, and submit it. Each Wednesday, we’ll choose one submission and post it.
It’s preferable that this submission is previously unpublished. If you’re not a great writer, that’s not a big deal; we can clean up your article (within reason).
If you guys get me some things to post, I’ll post one next week! So get writing! And when you’re done, send it to [email protected]
I can’t wait to see what’s on your sexy mofo minds!
Hooray!
Will you accept my Care Bears fan-fiction? I promise it’s really really good.
@jtradke:
Only if it’s slash fiction!
So if we submit one and it doesn’t get picked, do we get to resubmit the same composition or would you all prefer a whole new one?
Sooooo… Are we the only ones excited about this? Or is everyone busy typing madly to get the first submission? *cricket*
@Sean:
I’ll probably hold on to some for a while. I won’t trash them just because I don’t pick them the week they’re submitted. So you’re better off submitting a new post than re-submitting and old one.
@Skept-artist: Sooooo… Are we the only ones excited about this? Or is everyone busy typing madly to get the first submission?
I this is more of a “hmm” than a “woot!” I’m thinking about how much effort it will be to come up with something worthy. I’ll do it of course, but work will have to ease up a bit first.
@Skept-artist:
Well, we’ve already received a bunch of submissions already… so they’re all typing madly!
@davew: Good point.
@Elyse: Sweet! I love the idea of “Commenter/Reader Submissions”. It’s going to be interesting to get deeper inside the heads of some of the folks around here (by interesting, I mean frightening of course).
This sounds like fun! Can you submit anything about any topic? Or are there themes? :)
Will you allow a cross-post? If so I’ll throw in my blog post “‘Scuse me brother, have you met Sagan?” — stealing a page from the fundie playbook to evangelize critical thinking.

@Matariki:
Any topic. But if it’s not skeptical it better be a phenomenal read if you want it to make the cut!
@jeffreyellis:
Cross-posting is fine. I’d prefer stuff that hasn’t been blogged yet, though.
D’oh! Too late.
(goes through mental cupboard, muttering evilly to myself while seeking a metaphorical can of worms to open)
WHAT?
DON’T JUDGE ME!!
Seriously I think it’s an awesome idea – even though I dunno what I’d do since my thing is more video-makey than article-writey.
I have a lot of ideas, but I don’t think they are as awesome as the stuff that gets posted regularly. Maybe it got this way because of practice-maybe they have a unique talent.
