You Could Win a Custom Cocktail AND Support Science Education

Have you ever wished that you had a cocktail created just for you? I know that you’ve always wanted to support science education as well as general tomfoolery. Well SkepchickCon now has an opportunity for you to do both! But first, UPDATES!

We are SO EXCITED to announce the winner of our drawing from April and May, Dan K. He wins an I <3 GMOs tshirt as well as Kavin Senapathy’s new book, “The Fear Babe: Shattering Vani Hari’s Glass House”.

We are down to LESS THAN A MONTH until SkepchickCon and in case you can’t tell I am all-caps excited for this event. We have managed to raise enough money to bring our own fearless leader Rebecca Watson to be with us again this year, as well as provide activities all day every day (or close enough) in our party room. We’ll have everything from crafting and costumes to science demonstrations. We’ve also got a full schedule of panels that we’ll be highlighting on social media in the upcoming weeks, so make sure you follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

So now on to the important bits:

We have less than a month to reach our fundraising goals. We had a fantastic start, but we still have a ways to go before we hit our goal of $2000. With that money we can buy supplies for science experiments and demos, get supplies for our party room, provide scholarships for our speakers to get to the Con, and make sure our decor and room are up to date and providing the absolute best in science education and PARTYING.
