Sundaylies with Salamanders, Multiverses, John Cleese and more!
Hello friends! It’s me, Surly Amy!
Mindy can’t come to the Sundaylies today because she is now a superhero who can control the powers of physics while simultaneously fighting crime in the court room. Look, just DO NOT mess with this woman. DO what she says and everything will be cool.
She told me she needed a day off and I was like. “It’s totes cool Mindy, you do what you need to do girl, just please don’t create a black hole in my livingrom like you did last time.” “No. It”s true, it did suck all the dust and dirt out of my art studio and I appreciate that, I really do but I haven’t been able to find my paintbrushes or my cat* since.”
NOW On to our links!
First of all- here is a cartoon from my internet-friend (Shut up, Mom. That is totally JUST like real friendship.) Jon Rosenburg who has been sick in the hospital, but he is getting better. We send him love and want him to make more art because he has a strong sense of politics and humor in ye old visual form and we love him for it.
Now on to the bestest links on the intertubes this week:

Seriously cute!
Bethany goes over a recent meta analysis of research into how violent images affect young children. In short, please try to filter what your little ones see. Link here.
Lou’s weekly links include a piece that talks about how to react when children say they can’t do something when you know they can. As with most things, the answer is complicated.
School of Doubt
Jay follows up his previous post on Bloom’s taxonomy by addressing some of its critics. Link here.

*No cats were harmed in the making of any black holes or this blogpost and I have actually never owned a cat which is probably why I still can’t find it. #allergies
