I read this title as “Dozens Flock to see the Virgin Mary Rock”. I wish that has been the case, it’s just paraedolia, in a rock.

    Blasphemy shouldn’t even be a crime in the first place, especially one that carries the death penalty. It says something disturbing about Pakistani society and its legal system, that they even have such backwards laws in the first place. Than again its also very telling that they’re having trouble determining who it is who actually blasphemed and that some people are despicable enough to try to take advantage of that for their own benefit.

  2. I’m a little annoyed at Fusion for countering the housewives quote with “they aren’t housewives!” As opposed to something which challenges how sexist and demeaning the comment is to all women, including housewives. Saying the statement is wrong because they are scientists doesn’t challenge the stigma around domestic work.
    Maybe I’m overthinking it though.
