Today is a Very Special Day for Mad Art Lab

Today is a special day for the Mad Art Lab blog. It marks our 4th year in existence and to celebrate that birthday we are launching a brand new podcast about the intersection of art and science called, Mad Art Cast.

I am co-hosting along with original Skepchick, A Kovacs. A and I are joined by two other amazing Labbers, musician and aspiring comedian, Ashley Hamer and New York City’s very own visual artist, Mr Brian George.

We have gathered a great group with a lot of diversity in talents and of opinions and we have A’s science background to help keep us in check.

So far the podcast has been a ridiculous amount of fun! Even the episode we ruined and had to throw away was a blast. NO REGRETS! We are obviously still learning the flow and working out some details with formatting but we have so goddamn much fun talking to each other about the issues and stories at the intersection of the arts and the sciences that I’m sure things will only improve with time.

I hope you will take the time to listen to and share the podcast and join us on our journey.

  1. Hell yes! How exciting is this? Also: “New York City’s very own visual artist, Mr Brian George.” I like how this makes me sound like I’m the only visual artist in NYC. Which is as it should be.
