  1. I remember Yanomami studies claiming a shortage of women leads to warfare leads to infanticide (so they’ll have more sons who will go off and fight wars to kidnap women). Problem: Infanticide causes a shortage of women. The more traditional explanation for infanticide as a form of population control was ignored, of course. Evopsych at its best.
