I’ve almost solved Cicada 3301. So far, I have “BUYMOREOVA”. Anyone got the rest figured out yet?
It’s “be sure to drink your ovaltine” (Sorry, that is my favorite movie!)
If life has taught me anything, it’s that the mystery that your mind comes up with is far far more interesting than reality. (Which is generally why big build-ups in stories fail spectacularly with me, I always anticipate way more than the writers could come up with.) This “mystery” is probably something common and blase, like a job application, or people who are good at puzzles trying to find friends, so that they can make puzzles together.
Hmm… guess I was decoding it wrong. :P
I agree with you, though. Unless the solution to the mystery is very, very clever, it’s hard to make it satisfactory.
Mary,
Speaking of constitutional amendments, here’s a really bad idea for a new one.
