- Croc attacks: University database aims to reveal you want or don’t want to know – “Dr Adam Britton says that of the 99 attacks recorded in Australia since shooting of crocodiles was banned in 1971, only 26 per cent have been fatal.” From Jack99.
- Black professor rebuked for teaching white students structural racism – Place a nice soft pillow in front of you in preparation for the headdesking this inspires. From Mary.
- Your need to correct everyone has finally resulted in becoming universally beloved – I figured skeptics could appreciate the humor of this.

Time for some skeptical math.
Don’t Be A Dick X copious snark = pretentiously unfunny
Reminds me of an interview of Peter Boghossian I heard recently (to hawk his A Manual For Creating Athiests) in which he criticized the left for criticizing those who criticize uncritically, then proceeded to speak to how “those people” (the uncritical, read the religious) don’t even know they are being oppressed and we enlightened ones need to save them. Seems someone at Toast has read the tome, the smug self-righteous irony levels are about to make me sick.
Now, if you would all just think like me the world would be a much better place.
Jesus, that last sentence almost made me revisit my breakfast. Sarcasm is hard.
There seems to be a certain amount of overlap with this as well

Not all are like this, but certainly some are!
Yeah, that was pretty much it.
All the athiest problems are because of overly PC liberals and Michale Shermer this and Richard Dawkins that and Sam Harris says followed by a hasty generalization.
There were some good ideas in there but it was surrounded by heaping helpings of cocksure assurance of half-assed theory which the interview heartily agreed with. I like the interviewer so I hope the corrections he is sure to get are taken to heart.
A lot more on the Shannon Gibney story, this from Ms. Gibney herself.
