- 14-year-old scientist discovers how to filter a drug from our drinking water – Maria Elena Grimmet, saving the world during her summer vacation. From Stephan.
- Who’re you calling Neanderthal? – About how the view of neanderthals has changed in recent years. From Critical Dragon1177.
- Antibiotic protects men from attractive women – Or, bad conclusions drawn from a chart Friday? From PrimevilKneivel.
- Things no one will tell fat girls – From Moniqa.
- Aisha Tyler to haters: I don’t need to do it for the money – “When Aisha Tyler was selected to be the presenter for the 2012 Ubisoft E3 press conference, she received an unprecedented flood of hate from trolls who complained about the fact that she knew nothing about gaming.” Except that she IS a gamer.
- Cute Animal Friday! How kitten-like is this tiger cub? I had no idea wombats could be natural blondes. You’ve heard of dog shaming? Well, try the hilarity of bunny shaming.
The rabbits have already started fighting back!
http://www.disapprovingrabbits.com/ for the other kind of rabbit shameing :P
I love disapproving rabbits! My cat constantly has disapproving face, it’s adorable.
hehehe. My Syl can give a mean scowl when she wants to. Even when what you’re doing if for her own good :P . Actually i should go pill her now, poor kitty has a thyroid condition.
How is it even possible to hate Aisha Tyler?
Amanda
That story about Maria Elena Grimmett is amazing, especially given the fact that she’s only fourteen.
Imagine if one of Maria Elena Grimmett’s experiments had ended in a tiny explosion.
I was just thinking that. Or, what if Kiera Wilmot could have discovered something important that she’s been sidetracked from?

The front page hasn’t updated for a couple of days. According to the landing page, the last post was Skepchick Quickies 5.1. (I checked Twitter to see if there was a notice about the site being down and found all the links to the newer posts.)
I’m having the same problem.
Following old links and then updating the page is working off and on to get me to the latest posts/comments.
Thanks! We’re aware of the issue.
I am super not into that Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls thing, and very helpfully someone else has articulated this eye-roll-y/barfy reaction I had when reading it better than I would have, tearing it up in a few short bullet points: http://wtfplus.tumblr.com/post/49267322103/the-militant-baker-things-no-one-will-tell-fat
Those are good points, thanks for the link.
