No, no…Art blogs about the Paleozoic, before there were dinosaurs. He’s pretty specific about that. And that he likes arthropods.
Of course I knew that, but wasn’t thinking properly. :) Thanks for the reminder!
The horror of the Somalia story is beyond belief.
I bet there will be few comments because we are all stunned and feel helpless to do or suggest anything constructive. We just can’t get our heads around it.
There is one thing we can do – support MSF!
Even better, volunteer to work for MSF.
Those guys are heroes.
That story about Somalia was truly horrific! I hope that change in that country can begin soon! It is hard to imagine change without a working government, on going civil war and famine. From what I have read, aid groups want to help, but end up pulling out or relocating aid workers due to the violence. Truly a sad and horrific thing. And the fingers of this civil war has a long grasp reaching the interests of us all, even us on the other side of the world. Not to being to mention the humanitarian crisis, it is one of the supposed breeding grounds for terrorist, religious extremest groups. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/18/weekinreview/18gettleman.html?pagewanted=all
