AI: 2011 Major Awards

It’s almost 2012 and 2011’s end-of-year roundups have begun! The Skeptic is looking for nominations for their 2011 Skeptic Awards. (and no one here would mind if you happened to head over there and nominate Skepchick and Hug Me for awards… hint.)  And I’m game planning for juggling skeptical and personal travel and kids and saving the world… right now I’m penciling in a sigh and a nap during the second week in October. It’s going to be a busy but awesome year.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s talk about 2011. What were the best parts of this year? Who rocked rationality? What inspired you?

Instead of giving you the option to nominate someone for an award that I choose in my name (The El Mofo Awards), I’m giving you the option to create your own awards! <Your Name> Awards go to whomever you choose, for doing whatever you like. Maybe it’s Depak Chopra for furthering skepticism by making the most useless video game ever, or maybe its Rhys Morgan for being possibly almost certainly the coolest teen skeptic ever that didn’t blog at Teen Skepchick. Or the Mad Art Lab team  for being the Mad Art Lab team.

Whatever… its YOUR award. Award it!

Who gets your award(s)? For what? Are you going to tell the awardee or is this going to be like a secret crush? Will you be mad if I slip a note into your awardee’s locker telling them that you think they’re award-worthy? OMG I’m so putting it on Twitter! Ok… just kidding… you can tell me. I’ll only tweet if you say it’s okay.

The Afternoon Inquisition (or AI) is a question posed to you, the Skepchick community. Look for it to appear Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 3pm ET.
