Epic Plug for CSICon

CSICon is a skeptical conference put on by the Committee for Scientific Inquiry (CSI, formerly CSICOP) in New Orleans, October 27-30 2011. I’m going to be there, along with Steve Novella, Bill Nye, Debbie Goddard, Genie Scott, Edzard Ernst, James Randi, Joe Nickell, Karen Stollznow, Paul Offit, Phil Plait, and many more. Oh man, it kind of sounds like TAM but in a cooler city at Halloween!

CSI made a video promoting the conference. It starts off kind of slow, but trust me, it picks up pretty quickly. Also, it features a cameo from yours truly!

  1. The program will also feature a lot of breakout sessions, as opposed to the one track format at TAM, so my guess is a lot more audience interaction during the panels.

And of course my lovely wife Melody will be speaking which should be all you need to know.

  2. I will be driving in from Austin, TX for CSICon. It will my first skeptical/scientific conference as well as my first time representing SkepticsOnThe.Net off of the internet. Can’t wait to meet everybody.

  3. That’s a bit of music they use on Epic Meal Time. I was half expecting Harley Morenstein to pop up and say “Next time, we debunk Smurfs!”
