Skepticism
Nice T-shirt!
(REMINDER: TAM London tickets go on sale today at noon BST, in one hour!)
George Hrab just made an awesome videosong cover of the Yes song Owner of a Lonely Heart. A videosong is, according to the band Pomplamoose, “a new Medium with two rules: 1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice) [and] 2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).”
We’re all accustomed to seeing George in natty suits, but I must say that he is demonstrating fine fashion sense here. Also, keep an eye out for an ever-so-brief James Randi cameo!
Firsties!
If for no other reason than actually awake at the time you just posted this.
Hmmmm Maybe some Krusty-O’s for breakfast….
Wooohooooowowweeeeeeeoooeeeeeee…….*clunk*
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
@anonentity: Your Herculean effort is recognized and appreciated!
Pomplamoose! I know the Jack Conte half of that duo a little bit. Nice of you to mention them.
Anyone who’s attending TAM London this year: looking forward to seeing you there :)
Last month my wife went to CDBaby.com to order George’s music on CD (Mr. Hrab had made a big deal about the effort that goes into the CD packaging and design).
She made a mistake on the order page and ended up buying the digital download. A week later, when no CD’s arrived, she reviewed the invoice and discovered her error.
No problem: she simply ordered the music again on CD. She told me it was a “donation to support his work”. Ilovesmewife.
Nifty. And as ticket orderer #17 I’m also looking forward to seeing people at TAM London. Wheeeee!
Now I only need to figure out how to convince the principal I need extra time off during the week to attend a conference on the weekend. Anyone ready to drum up a fringe event on pedagogics?
@Bjornar: I could do a fridge event on pierogies, is that close enough?
@MarlowePI: The school’s budget is really tight, so I don’t think she’ll go for that…
@Bjornar: Ah, but there’s the beauty of it: pierogies are cheap.
@Mark Hall: The most significant expense here is hiring a temp for my absence. Of course, I could pay out of my own pocket…
