Skepticism

Drinking Skepchickally San Diego, 10/10, 7pm

This time next weekend there will be at least three Skepchicks recovering from a night on the town, probably all together in the same hotel room, with Surly Johnny shaking his head and bringing us coffee and aspirin.

That’s right SoCal Skepchick fans, Drinking Skepchickally San Diego, is back, this time with special guest MasalaSkeptic and SurlyAmy!

We’re going to head up the coast a bit, to the La Jolla/UCSD area, to make it easier on the travelers from up North.

Where:

El Torito Mexican Grill
8910 Villa la Jolla Dr
La Jolla, CA 92037
(858) 453-4115

When:

Saturday, October 10th

7:00pm – ??

Hope to see you kids come out.  It’s unlikely, but there could even be prizes.  (Disclaimer: very unlikely there will be prizes.)  But there could very well be a gaggle of terrific local skeptics to rub shoulders with.  Come on out and find out.

  1. Hmm…

Friday the 9th is Los Angeles Drinking Skeptically and now Saturday the 10th is San Diego Drinking Skepchickally.

    Two words: Road Trip!

    ;)

  2. @ZenMonkey: Like Derek said, there is an LA Drinking Skeptically every month. I try to go to that but I am in an out of town so much lately that I haven’t been able to make it. When things mellow out I will definitely start attending that.

  3. Aw.. I miss it by a couple days, I’ll be in San Diego just after that…. what the eff? This year has been OFF for me.

  4. Assuming I can shake my cold/flu/H1n1/cooties, I’ll be there.

Note that I’d be making the huge sacrifice of Oktoberfest with the German-American Society here, but I suppose I must!

  5. A little update on why I’ve been gone so long. Last April, just after my 42nd birthday, I joined the army reserves, and have been at basic training at Fort Knox.

I had no computer or cell phone access until I graduated Sept 11th. I’m now at advanced training in Fort Lee, Virginia, were I have very limited access.

I’m a little beaten up, have lost 50 lbs, and still have trouble keeping up with these kids, but I’m doing pretty well all things considered.

But I still can’t wait to get the hell out of here, though I’ll likely get deployed to Afganistan soon after getting home.

There will be at least one athiest in the foxholes.
