Chicago: Birthday Blowout Boozahol Bash Bonanaza!

martiniAs you all already know from Twitter, (because you’re following all of the skepchicks on Twitter, right?) next weekend Carr2D2 and Masala Skeptic are going to be in Chicago, and we’re going to be getting our drizzink on to celebrate my birthday… and maybe throw back a Buzzed Aldrin or 5 in belated honor of Maria’s birthday (which was two days ago… as you already know.) And… you’re going to be there.

Most of the details are tippy toppiest of secrets. They’re so secret, it’s possible that some of the Skepchicks aren’t even privvy to them! So we’re going to do this Beverly Hills 90210 style! But without the heavy handed lessons about doing ecstacy! Here’s how it’s going to work:

You’re going to plan to be in the city Saturday night… probably around 7:30 – 8:00pm.

In order to get more information, you’re going to have to bring an egg to this website some time next week. Hand the egg to any cartoon-looking girl avatar and give the password: Buzzed Aldrin. The cartoon girl will then tell you the location of the super-secret bash.

To-do list recap:

  1. Get to Chicago Saturday night.
  2. Find an egg.
  3. Drink
  4. Google 90210 egg rave to see what the hell I’m talking about (optional)

  1. I’d love to come but, first the 7 hour 40 min drive from Pittsburgh is a bit much (unless someone wants to tag along with me).

Secondly even after googling “90210 egg rave” I still have no idea what you’re talking about.

Guess I should catch up on my 90’s teen dramas.

  2. @Malfeitor:

In order to get the location of the rave, they had to give an egg to the cashier at a convenience store.

Later Brandon Walsh learned a valuable lesson about the dangers of doing drugs with girls who have short hair. (That’s how you can tell that they’re dangerous, see? They have haircuts like Carr2D2 and Chelsea.)

  3. I’d consider it, but I really don’t have the cash to and besides, I’m way too shy and wouldn’t feel comfortable approaching people I don’t really know, or interacting with them for that matter. So hopefully you all have a great time.

  4. sweet, and I might get to try my first Martini (with onion), provided you are still willing to make it for me. Should be exciting, though if we are doing it 90210 style shouldn’t Brian and I dress like Jason Priestly and Luke Perry and pretend that we are still in high school with bad side-burns? :p

  5. I assume this bash will go beyond 10:oo pm. I have a b-day dinner saturday evening but MUST attend the Skepchick Drink-athon.

  6. @Elyse: Only from the internets, and I have a tendency to be very quiet in person unless I either A.) know you real well, or B.) have something really interesting to discuss with a person willing to discuss it with me. (true the latter part may not be much of an issue, but I also tend not to strike up conversations easily due to being rather shy especially in large groups.) I was also going to use the fact that I was uncertain as to how to give the cartoon avatar an egg but you seem to have explained that, which means that that particular excuse will no longer work.
