Let’s do lunch…

Ever wondered what it would be like to chat with a bunch of the Skepchicks in person? Here’s your chance.  If you’re going to be at the Amaz!ng Meeting 7, bid on this auction to have lunch with all the Skepchicks in attendance. At least 7 of us will be there, maybe more.  How can you resist? Plus, the money goes to the JREF scholarship auction, which helps people get to TAM. And if you’re not going to TAM, what the heck is wrong with you? GO! It’s awesome :)

  1. And if you’re not going to TAM, what the heck is wrong with you?

Time and money. I only get one vacation per anum. While I would love to go the wife and kids wouldn’t have fun. That and I just can’t afford it.

  2. My target is TAM 9. Hopefully by then I’ll be licensed and can afford the trip. Also my older kids might actually want to come along by then.@Elyse: I thought you were oposite marrying a couple of the skepchicks. Going for gay polygamy and all.

  3. Just as Gabrielbrawley said, no money. Time I have in spades but getting braces is a bit more important to me than going to TAM so I’m doing that. I’m not even going to go to Dragon*Con this year despite the fact that I wanted to.

  4. “And if you’re not going to TAM, what the heck is wrong with you? ”

    Two words: Las Vegas.

And I think that would fall under “what is not wrong with me”.

  5. P.S. – I gotta get more involved with CFI.

Just down the road, bereft of people who think that the phrase “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” is some kind of alibi.

My mind is now filled with specters ofthe begoateed and over-cologned … must erase. Must erase!

  6. @whitebird:

So what is it about Las Vegas that is so evil it would prevent you from attending the preeminent skeptic’s conference?

CFI is a good group, but it’s cheaper to just volunteer at a nursing home.

  7. My wife & I are going to be at TAM7 (our first!). What day will you be having the lunch? If we bid, can we both attend?

Finally – Is there any news on the house party? We really want to see you there, too, Skepchicks!

We’ll work with you to schedule it – we haven’t picked a particular day. Yes, you can bring a plus one. I’ll update the auction online to reflect this.

Make sure you check the evite and RSVP and details will be provided closer to the time to attendees.
