  1. Are there no other details about Hawking’s condition yet? “Very ill” is insanely vague. I imagine anything wrong is a lot more serious for a frail man in his late 60s with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

    Funny, I usually come up with ideas like that while consulting physically with spirits very much of the material world.

  5. That wine article doesn’t really surprise me. Wine tasting is pretty woo-ish to begin with. There was an incident a while back where a panel of experts were unable to tell the difference between red wine and white wine dyed red.

  6. Definitely snatched up the Scientific American that had that article about our genomes on the front article as soon as I saw it in my dad’s magazine stack, today… thinking it’s kind of funny to see a link to the online article here.
