A Skepchick in Vilnius

Hey everyone. As you’ve noticed, I’m posting much less while in Lithuania. I am writing about my daily thoughts and activities on my personal blog for anyone who feels a little (or a lot) voyeuristic…. you can see what I’ve been doing in my June and July archives.

Donna Druchunas is a freelance technical writer and editor and a knitwear designer. When she's not working, she blogs, studies Lithuanian, reads science and sci-fi books, mouths off on atheist forums, and checks her email every three minutes. (She does that when she's working, too.) Although she loves to chat, she can't keep an IM program open or she'd never get anything else done.

  1. Yay! Keep up the “not posting” stuff, I’m actually learning things now on skepchick instead of debating meanings of ambiguous words and your random postings that go against the grain so it’ll stir a meaningless discussion on “Why I Support Intelligent Design,” or my favorite, “Why I hate America,”.

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Well, excuse me for not towing the skeptic conformist line, for having the nerve to think for myself, and for sharing my thought on controversial topics. If you don’t like me or my writing, don’t read my posts. No one is holding a gun to your head.

  3. Ick.
Dental_FlossTycoon, I don’t read Skepchick to find out your opinion of certain Skepchicks. Keep it to yourself.

  4. Silly me, I guess I misunderstood what “Leave a comment” meant. I’m not posting to the main page of Skepchick, but to the “comment section” where I was stating my opinion, which regardless of what your “reasoning” and “expected intent” for reading the comments section, I will still voice my opinion.

  5. Toe the line. Not tow. Just so you know.

Also, don’t worry about this jerk, his opinion doesn’t count anyway. He’s FAR less pretty than I am.

  6. Not remotely. :P

It’s a phrase with military origins, you know. To tow the line would be to haul a rope. To toe the line would mean to stand in a neat row with the tips of your shoes perfectly aligned with everyone else’s. Which so you think better reflects the meaning you were going for here?

Useless trivia for the win, yo!
