Yes, it’s the Newell teapot. However, the reason I used it was because of the odd colouring.
Graphics programmers know this zen moment when a bug in their program causes a cool effect. Benoit Mandelbrot called it “the computer bug as artist”. This is the first bug-as-artist image that I ever made that I felt was good enough to keep. So now I’m sharing it with all of you.
I think mine was one of the last comments to be featured on the sidebar before the COTW, some smart remark to a quiz where I’d said “situations get uncomfortable around ME”, but it obviously isn’t funny any more without the context … anyway, I really like the whole idea of the COTW, so thanks!
