  1. i’m not sure this needs to be said, but the organization cited in the letter to the expelled site, maranatha christian fellowship, is notorious on the u of m campus for spouting false and inflammatory bullshit in order to attract attention.

  2. The article is about Dawkins “crashing” the Expelled party. I don’t think it mentions PZ at all… HA.

According to the article about sin, the overwhelming majority of people find adultery and racism to be sins while less than half think premarital sex is a sin and only 18% think not going to church regularly is sinful behavior. The major theme of the article seems to be that more people are basing their ideas of right and wrong on what hurts themselves and others rather than some antiquated book. We still have a long way to go, but yay!

    The article said it best:

    In other words, he asks, if you can solve your problems or sins yourself, what difference does it make that Christ was crucified?

    Answer: none.

  4. Alas, the answer to the ‘what’s with the well-list body hair’ question on the Jesus Jeans posts is likely to be “anorexia”.

    I must say, though, those are pretty much my perfect jeans. I wish I could find a pair.
