The other day I was driving in my car past a very crowded intersection when I noticed a group of young people with signs. Since it caught my attention, I looked closer and noticed the signs had pictures of mutilated foetuses – and me on the way to lunch.
One sign said, “Honk if you believe in life.†That sign caused me to wonder what those same people would think if I gathered a group and stood on that corner with signs depicting rape and poverty and signs saying, “Honk if you believe in choice.â€
Nah!
You forgot about the “christmas” vs “holidays” thing? Also, there was a post in PZ’s blog (can’t locate it) about a winter solstice sign that caused a lot of discomfort in the (xian) community where it was.
That is the whole problem I have about religion, that they can’t live with it – they *must* drag others into it!
As someone or other once said, “”Christianity says to ‘witness’. It does not say to annoy possible converts to the point of making them your enemy.”

But after that, some behaved very christian-like by putting another sign which blocks the view of this one, “too bad” they said.

The thing about science is that it really doesn’t matter if one believes in it or not. It is there regardless and it works better than any other method we’ve developed yet for learning about our world. If only those who prefer religion over science would understand this!
vjack, Christians say the same thing about God and with exactly the same level of confidence.

But they wouldn’t get it.
I would say, make a sign that says “I AM SATAN, on one side and “I’M WITH STUPID” (complete with appropriate arrow) on the other and stand next to them and keep flipping it.
I know it’s an oldy but it’s a goody as well.
