Comment o' the Week

Waaaaay over there in the right-hand sidebar, you might have noticed a little box labeled “quoted,” where every now and again I put a comment I find amusing. I’ve decided to expand that concept in order to hand out more recognition. Here, your very first Comment o’ the Week. On Masala Skeptic’s Blasphemy post:

I’m so glad that a post as amusing as this one has the honor of being the 1,111th post on Skepchick. NUMEROLOGY WORKS!

And you KNOW it must be true, because if you hold down the SHIFT key while typing “1,111″ it becomes “!<!!!”. And it’s UNDENIABLY TRUE that a little excitement is less than a lot of excitement.

Hee-larious! Future editions of Comment o’ the Week may be weekly, monthly, daily, or whenever the hell I want. They also may include more comments if you guys are being particularly amusing.

And I know what you mean. What do you post on a blog titled “comment o the week”. So much pressure!

  2. I don’t actually have anything to say. I just liked the redundancy of commenting on a comment on a post about comments.

    Yeah!! Bee, you’re coming around.

When I saw this entry by Rebecca, I was going to simply submit the words “No comment”.

Don’t think about that too long or your head will explode.

  3. I almost spit my mouth full of water all over my computer screen when I read that. Swear to god. Or numbers. Or whoever is apparently in charge now.

  4. When I saw this entry by Rebecca, I was going to simply submit the words “No comment”.

Sort of like, “Are you asleep?” “Yes.”

And Rebecca, I couldn’t agree more … when I first read Aaron’s comment, the first thing I did was scroll over to the Quoted section to see if my little bit of snarkiness had gotten bumped. The number thing was dang funny!

  5. Yeah, the comments around here are definintely one of the major draws for me. HIGH-larious community you have around here.

  6. Using homeopathic principles, I took the worst comment I could think of and continuously diluted it until only its essence remains. It should turn into the comment of the year! The homeopathic comment is :

The homeopathic comment totally worked for me. Like, I can’t exactly put my finger on how it worked, but I definitely feel better after having read it.
