Did he just reference the villain of the Left Behind series? Oh yes he did. When does this man have the time to read all the Harry Potter books AND Left Behind? Craziness!
I saw that too, and found some amusement there, even if he didn't like the book as much as me. ;-)
I am not really interested in the Left Behind series, but if I were tempted to read them, I would buy used copies so as not to give any money to the author.
I agree with him that anyone who's graduated past Harry Potter and needs another series to read should definitely pick up His Dark Materials.
Fascinating review, even if I wouldn't be quite as harsh (or eloquent).
