Breaking news: the family of Mr. Wizard has graciously offered to up the ante in our YouTube challenge by adding a full set of Mr. Wizard’s World DVDs! This would be fabulous for a teacher, anyone with young kids, or a big fan of the show, so encourage others to upload their 5-minute science experiments!
You can see the DVD set and other great products on the Mr. Wizard web site, located here.
Wow. Rock on!
Well holy snappin' crap. I think I'll be poppin' off one of them there fancy video thingys to see about winnin' the booty. That's fantastic of them to offer that up. Sciencey folks are great ;)
Cool! Don't forget to update your YT notes with that info. Have you considered extending the deadline? With July 4th and people taking summer vacations, maybe you'll get more if you extend it to the end of July and more people hear about it. Just a thought. (Might have been easier during the school year as far as teachers – would have been a fun assignment.)
Blake, I would think you and your pals could whip up something. A few videos I have saved from a Canadian physics professor are all under 5 minutes…you know, electric pickles, paramagnetism and stuff. If you won you could always donate the DVDs to a city school or something. :-)
That's very cool! And it must be nice for the family to see him honored, too :)
I concur with Melusine. More time would be better. I have an idea in mind, but won't be able to film it until the end of this month …
