General (non-TAM) Update!

So, my most recent TAM-wrap-up ended early Sunday morning. There’s a bit more to go, obviously, but I wanted to wait until I had the accompanying video to go with it. Sadly, this has proven to be a huge, huge pain in the ass, and I might not be able to get the video up. I’ll try once more tonight, and if it still doesn’t work I’ll just wrap up the TAM review and then we can get back to your regularly scheduled Memoirs.
In the meantime, of course, you have our other wonderful skepchick bloggers to keep you amused and informed, plus the 53rd Skeptics Circle, which just went live. I’ve been terribly remiss in linking to the Circle the past few months, something I hope to correct from now on.

Also, there’s another new skepchick blogger on the scene — Maria is not writing here (yet), but she has started her own blog focusing on Indian skeptics! Check her out at www.masala-skeptic.com.

I’ve almost made it through replying to e-mails, and then I have some serious calendar-shipping work to do. After that, I need to start thinking about the 2008 calendars, and how I can possibly produce them without dealing with the gahdamned United States Postal Service, which this year reached new levels of incompetence the likes of which cannot be seen outside governmental agencies.

There are so many exciting new possibilities opening up for Skepchicks, which you’ll all hear about in the near future. First I need to get everything organized, beginning with my poor tangled brain. Let the brain untangling begin! Er, this weekend.

  1. Rebecca, any plans for updating the site? I heard from several people that they think this site is dead because the main page doesn't change any more. I wonder if the blog should go on the home page or at least a list of new posts or something, so when people check back on the main page they see that stuff is happening.

  2. Yes! Big plans. I was hoping to have had it done by now, but we have an awesome web guy working on a completely overhauled site. The only issue is that he's working pro bono and is therefore allowed to proceed at his own pace. I've put off making any major changes to the site on the assumption that any moment now, we'll be ready to launch the new stuff. Any moment now!

  3. A good idea came up on the forum too. Like instead of monthly magazines, a quartely thing, or just updating "whenever" there's new stuff.
