Bumpiness
Hey there, fellow skepticos.
First, thanks Teek for popping in with an update. The site was in fact buggy yesterday (and thus Bug_Girl-less) — I had trouble logging on, and then got swept away taking care of other matters like sorting through hundreds of emails, recording the podcast, and catching up on the 9 to 5 work I get paid to do.
Also, spammers went insane yesterday and left more than 60 spammy comments on the blog. I cleaned them all up (I think) and then to make sure it doesn’t happen again, I changed the blog settings so that you have to log in to post a comment. Sorry if that makes things annoying for some of you, but if you want to participate in the discussions you’ll have to sign in from now on. If you have privacy concerns, I recommend you register with a throwaway Google or Yahoo address. You can also use a made-up pseudonym if you want.
Thanks to all of you for bearing with me as I try to get back into the groove of things — the past few days have been really tough.
This site is just going downhill with all these new restrictions and new commentors. I remember the "good old days" of a few months ago when it was only just us few who knew each other and could trust each other… none of this 'logging in' business… just fun. Oh how times have changed…
[hoping everyone gets the sarcasm]
Hey, I was just ready to leave a post about this load of twaddle:

Welcome back Rebecca!!!
(and I can definately attest to the number of spammy comments–I was amazed. I had to check at least twice a day!)
Mystery solved. I was almost starting to panic about not being able to log in any more ;)
And bug: only twice a day? Don't you know that the skepchick blog™ is a full-time job …
