Sunday Night Sermon: Slight Delay
You’ll excuse me if I’ve had a bit of a rough weekend and am forced to phone it in tonight for a number of reasons:
1.) The latest issue of Skepchick has just now magically appeared on the Interwebbery.
2.) In a double dose of magical miracles, this week’s STELLAR episode of The Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe has also appeared, featuring an interview with none other than the faboo Eugenie Scott, who is just awesome beyond belief.
3.) It is STILL raining.
4.) I was just startled by one of Beck’s silly hidden tracks at the end of Mutations that I know is there but forget about when I’m intently working on producing miracles and haven’t noticed the music has been gone for some time until suddenly BAM there it is again. Scary!
5.) This scariness was complicated by the deep depression that comes with the memory that Beck is a Scientologist.
6.) Not to mention the self-loathing because I still like Beck anyway.
I’ll try to be especially heretical tomorrow.
Remember. Xenu died for your sins.
I know, I'm torn because I love Beck's music but hate his inability to think his way out of a wet paper bag. Where the wet paper bag is Scientology. Tom Cruise would probably be a soggy corner, or something.
Damn this rain.
