Quiz: Deepak, 2Pac or Six Pack?

Deepak Chopra is the quantum mystic and alt-med practitioner responsible for albums like The Soul of Healing Meditations and Chakra Balancing: Body, Mind, and Soul. Tupac Shakur is the murdered west coast rapper who created hit albums like Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. Sam Ogden is the sole male writer on Skepchick.org and is well know for the wit and wisdom he imparts after we make him drink a six pack of Lone Star through a funnel.

But can you tell which brilliant thinker uttered each of these 14 pearls of wisdom?

  1. I got 10/14. When I first saw the quiz, I thought it was going to be a marry/kill/sleep with quiz. My only problem with that is that it would be to easy.

  2. Yup, 8/14 for me as well.

As for shoot, sleep or marry, I would keep them in the order they are now (deepak – 2pac – 6pack).
Unfortunately, I think 2 of those are illegal in the state of Texas, and it’s not shooting Deepak.

  3. Although I had more appreciation for the rap/hip-hop genre in my youth than I do today, I do occasionally find myself guilty of not giving artists like Tupac enough credit. This is one of those times.

  4. 9/14

Damn, I could’ve sworn “Who’s for pancakes?” was from Chopra’s “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Breakfast”.

  5. 6/14 – It’s very easy for me to believe that anything that duchey sounding came from Deepak, I should have given 2Pac more ‘credit’

  6. 3/14. I voted for six-pack in every one since they all sound like stuff I might say after a six-pack (or four).

  7. 8/14 for me too. Not surprisingly (to me) I got all of Sam’s. I don’t know who the hell 2Pak is so it was difficult to separate his goofy utterances from Deepak’s.

  8. I got 10… which is sad because I took this quiz last night before it was published and got 11.

    Also, I saw Sam’s answers.

My brain is fine with being exposed to large amounts of drugs and alcohol, but it will not tolerate being used to store this shit.

  9. 14/14 Oh, yeah…that shows I know Tupac and beer addled thought when I see them. Almost got tripped up by the shotgun on the roof one, then I figured Tupac’s probably wasn’t around and if he was, would have been arrested for firing off a shotgun in LA. :)

  10. @Elyse: “I got 10… which is sad because I took this quiz last night before it was published and got 11.

    Also, I saw Sam’s answers.”

If you didn’t work here, I think that would be my COTW. I less than three you.

  11. Just want to add my voice to those who said that this quiz was a blast! I completely dissed 2pac; I gave him no credit at all and it showed with my 5/14 score!

  12. @Peregrine: not that you were asking, but there is a fantastic underground hip hop scene, based partially in minneapolis, that i will pimp at any opportunity. these people are smart, witty, politically conscious, include several skeptics and atheists, and are fun to listen to.
on rhymesayers , eyedea and abilities are my favorite.
on doomtree , dessa is killer.

there are many others i could rattle off as well: sage francis, aesop rock, gift of gab….lots of great, nerdy, entertaining stuff…

  13. Ha ha ha! I only got half correct! Deepak and Tupac can clearly be substituted at will in my mind! Maybe if I go drink a six pack one of them will start to make some sense… or at the very least maybe Sam will hang out with me.

  14. 9/14.

    I’m a failureeeeee. A failure. Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!
( but … that was actually fun!)

  15. 6/14 Amy…like you, the Deepok/Tupac mix up was my downfall!! So funny. If I had reversed them I would have had 11/16. Not that I am really counting every single point or competitive in any way….

  16. 9/14.

Six Pack Sam is clearly the wisest of the three. He’s really given me some things to think about.

Maybe I should find my pants.

  17. Man, I suck. I got 4/14. Deepak was so silly that I thought stuff he said was sixpack and stuff sixpack said was Deepak.
