  1. I’m glad that they went after this guy. It is absolutely despicable what these people do, they are, in effect, killing people. So it was nice to have his lies put forward. And I’m glad that they said that, despite there being people to speak for him, it did not mean he could actually do anything of the things he said.

Though I was disappointed in the doctor at the end regarding the ‘Complementary’ stuff. Really, why not just toss all that BS out?

  2. In reference to a recent question, here is one way to make a living from critical thinking that might actually be fun.

  3. I understand he is being investigated by the local Trading Standards. I think they would be able to prosecute him or report him to the police for a breach of the Cancer Act 1939.

  4. All we really have in life is time. By suggesting that people stop chemotherapy, leading to a death premature to what could have been, he is literally stealing the most valuable commodity his victims have. It’s despicable.

  5. @Tric:

I agree. They did a nice job grilling this ignorant self-serving heartless fuck (within the time-slot allowed), but then if these guys are going after bullshit, why the hell did they let complementary “medicine” garbage slip in?

…unless he’s talking about milkshakes — I always feel relaxed with milkshakes.

  6. They should have done more with the horse. They left it with a “his word against the vets” If the vet was wrong, he should have been able to prove it by curing the horse. If not, he should have been allowed to try and then fail.
I like the idea that a show like this is out there, but they need to be more aggressively debunking rather than just preaching to the choir and the fence-sitters.

“rubbed the wrong bit of our undercover horse” That’s priceless… :)
