Ayanna Pressley lends her voice to a collection of essays by sexual assault survivors – Believe Me: How Trusting Women Can Change the World is newly released, and was edited by the incredible Jessica Valenti and Jaclyn Friedman. The list of contributors is impressive and I can’t wait to get a copy.

New media outlet covering the intersection of women and politics launches – ““This isn’t the day’s news but pink. This is unique, original coverage about the roles of gender in politics and policy,” said Ramshaw, who is CEO of the nonprofit. “We are not doing turn-of-the-screw reporting, but rather what that turn of the screw means for different parts of the women’s electorate.”” The publication is called the 19th (after the amendment) and will be covering the 2020 elections.

Felicette, the first cat in space, finally gets a memorial – “The spacefaring feline was part of a 15-minute suborbital mission in 1963. Unveiled in December, the memorial is the culmination of a Kickstarter campaign launched in October 2017 by cosmic cat enthusiast Matthew Serge Guy. More than 1,100 patrons donated $57,000 to honor Félicette.”
