Another article about the women’s soccer pay dispute. Some of the comments in the Washington Post article claim that the women’s team earns much less revenue (tickets and ads?) than the men’s team, but the Boston Globe article contains real numbers that refute that. (World-wide, it might be true, but not in the US where the women’s team brings in $17.6M vs $9M for the men’s.)
I really wish I could watch a woman speak on Youtube and let it run to the end without it going to some bigot’s takedown of Feminism instead of another video by that same person.
Yeah, Youtube assumes that because I subscribe to Anita Sarkeesian’s videos, I’ll probably be interested in Thunderf00t’s as well (I’m not, really).
