Planned Parenthood is STILL Not Selling Baby Parts, You Fucking Idiots

Sorta transcript:

Just a quick update to my previous video in which I pointed out that Planned Parenthood isn’t selling baby parts, you fucking idiots. Weirdly, hundreds of thousands of people saw my video very clearly explaining that Planned Parenthood isn’t selling baby parts, and yet still — STILL! — Republican politicians across the US agitated for the organization, which provides free and low-cost healthcare for struggling women, to be defunded and investigated for crimes that, again, it obviously did not commit. You fucking idiots.

Well, Planned Parenthood wasn’t defunded, and in all the investigations done thus far, no one has been able to turn up a single shred of evidence to suggest that the organization has ever done anything illegal.

Adding insult to injury, a Texas grand jury this week dismissed charges levied at Planned Parenthood and instead chose to indict two of the anti-choice activists who created the libelous videos against them. David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt have been charged with a felony for creating fake IDs. Usually that sort of thing is a misdemeanor, like if you’re a high school student trying to get beer. But in this case, the jury considered it fraud due to the fact that the fraudulent IDs were created with the specific intent to malign someone.

Daleiden was also charged with a fun bonus misdemeanor: attempting to purchase human tissue or body parts. Yep, that’s illegal! Who knew? And why isn’t it a crime for Planned Parenthood to sell tissue? Because they’re not selling it. They’re donating it and getting reimbursed for the costs they incur to do so. They’re not making a profit.

Daleiden’s lawyers claim he’s innocent of human body part trafficking, because even though he sent people emails explicitly saying he wanted to buy tissue and body parts, he didn’t actually have the money or the means to store them. That defense may actually work for him! And hopefully it’ll work for me, too, after I finish sending this email asking random people if I can buy 100 kilos of cocaine. “You don’t understand, your honor, I was just doing journalism and I’ve been binging Narcos on Netflix! I don’t even have that kind of money! Not even in 1970s’ dollars!”

Of course, we need to bear in mind that Daleiden and Merritt have only been indicted, and not actually found guilty with the crimes set against them. There’s a good chance that they’ll get off, and no matter what, putting them in jail won’t fix the damage they’ve done to the reputation of a worthwhile organization that helps women in need.

What can help is making sure that Planned Parenthood stays funded regardless of what they get from the government (which, by the way, can not go toward the cost of any abortion services). You can do this, even if you don’t have a lot of money to spare! Amazon has a program called Amazon Smile. Whenever you make eligible purchases on the site using Amazon Smile, they donate a portion of the sale price to the charity of your choice. Planned Parenthood is an option. As a heads up, Amazon does offer a large selection of sex toys, condoms, and lubes. I mean, you can buy whatever you want, but there’s something extra nice about giving to charity AND getting some good ol’ healthy pleasure out of the deal, too. Enjoy!

The James Randi Foundation is another option, which is what I’ve selected.

Planned Parenthood would be be a great choice, as well!

Yeah, I already have St. Jude’s but I don’t spend much anyway.

Surely if anyone’s selling baby parts it’s Amazon. They sell everything.
