You read that right! The Los Angeles Women’s Atheist and Agnostic Group is having its monthly book club meetup and this month we are reading and chatting about an AWESOME comic series called Bitch Planet by Kelly Sue DeConnick. Volume One has been released and it’s freakin’ fabulous!
Even if you can’t make it to our meetup this Saturday I highly recommend checking out the series. I won’t give any spoilers but this is an action comic that is not afraid to use the F word. Looking for a book that will mock the patriarchy while really making you think about the extremes culture will go to deny sexism exists with beautiful retro inspired illustrations? This is the comic series for you.

Speaking of joining us, if you are an atheist or agnostic and primarily identify as a woman join our Meetup group to get invites to all of our fun activities. LAWAAG is a great group of people who foster friendship, community, education and social support. We meet at least once a month in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. We also do yearly charity and art events at various location in L.A.
