  2. re the Confederate Flag thing. In the TV series ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ the car has the confederate flag painted on the roof. Was this (is it) considered a racist thing? And why would a comedy show tread such a fine line?

    1. It is, but nobody points it out because as the theme song says it’s “just’a good ol’ boys, never meanin’ no harm”, and if you don’t mean any harm no harm can be done.

      That’s how it works, right?

  3. Have people noticed that the people who like to bleat on about how the Republican party was the party of Lincoln are the same folk who defend the flag that stood for everything he hated: treason and slavery?
