  1. Amanda,

I have to admit, I’m really impressed with what Kacy Catanzaro pulled off. You have to be in incredible shape to finish an obstacle course like that, as fast as she did and be her size.

    1. My two favorite parts were when she did that leap from pole to pole, because she was too short to move between them the usual way, and then the amazed and excited gasps/shouts from the announcers when she did the spider walk super fast.

  2. re men interrupting women: I have noticed this on a few podcasts I regularly listen to also. The strange thing is that I don’t think the men nor the women was conscious of it. What seemed to be happening was that the men would interrupt so as if to be included in the conversation, it seemed like subconscious level of flirtation.

  3. From personal experience, I actually deactivated my Tumblr several months ago because of all the whitesplaining (Remember, ‘splainers exist along all axes of privilege.) I encountered there from alleged ‘allies’. I don’t go on Twitter because 140 chars is never enough for me. (And because people don’t understand that Twitter’s a good place to schedule protests, but not a good place for the protest itself.)
