This Week in Miracles: Sharks, Babies, Sports

What has the Lord brought us to show his loving power? Let’s check my Google alert mailbag for this week.

This baby who was born prematurely with a hole in his heart, had a heart attack, multiple infections, and bleeding in his brain.

This 10-year old girl who was attacked by a shark.

This guy becoming a bishop.

This hockey team beating another hockey team.

This baby whose mother died in a car crash.

This 11-year old who has had severe brain damage since birth.

This shopping center.

After several weeks of writing This Week in Miracles, I am quickly coming to the conclusion that if you are a sports team, you want a miracle. If you are a baby, a miracle is the worst thing to happen to you.

Yet the headlines always proclaim it a miracle when the victim survives. It would make more sense to call it a miracle on those relatively rare occassions when someone dies
