Cross-posted from Mad Art Lab

Join us this Wednesday, August 14th at 8 PM Central/6 PM Pacific for a live online chat with some of your favorite Mad Art Lab contributors and some special guests about the art and science of film! RSVP for the hangout on Google+

We welcome special guest David Fitzgerald, author of The Complete Heretic’s Guide to Western Religion and co-founder of the Atheist Film Festival, the first and oldest festival of its kind, now in its 5th year and taking place on September 14th in San Francisco. Find out what inspired him to found the event and just what an atheist film festival is in the first place. Also joining us is filmmaker Ron Lechler, who will share a sneak peak at his short film “Ron Goes to Heaven” which will be screening at the festival!

Plus:
Film vs photography from Gigi Chickee
The science of sci-fi and fantasy cinema from Ryan Consell
An educated perspective from our newest contributor, MFA Lauren Lane
Answers to your questions, and more!

We look forward to what will hopefully be the first of many Mad Art Lab Hangout on Air events this Wedesday 8 PM Central/6 PM Pacific. RSVP for the hangout on Google+ or watch the Mad Art Lab homepage for the link that evening! We’ll post a link to the recording after for those who can’t attend live.
