I didn’t know that Black people usually had to wait around twice as long as white people to vote. I actually hadn’t heard about that problem before. I’m surprised to hear however that the voter ID laws are not the primary culprit given all the negative things I’ve heard about them.

Glad you were really interested in that new Nova series. Its something I thought you’d really like to see. It looks really interesting to me. I’m going to try to watch it today, after the work, since the first episode will air today. I hope you’re able to watch it, as well.
By the way, “Scientific Method / Science & Exploration” isn’t part of the title, its one of the categories ArsTechnica Uses for their stories. Its a bit confusing that they place whatever category one of their stories is under, over the story in huge letters, larger than the Title of the story itself.

That story about Rehtaeh Parsons is a horrible tragedy. Its made even more tragic by the fact that she attempted suicide and than died in the Hospital after she was taken off life support. I want the people who raped her to be brought to justice. They deserve to pay for what they did to her.

Man, Scalia is just the worst. I will never not be embarrassed, as an American, that such unthinking windbag somehow got to be on the highest court in the land.
What Scalia fails to realize that if they paid teachers a fair salary and treated them with respect, they wouldn’t have to worry about attracting better people to the job. My Dad (a Lawyer) had a simliar complaint as Scalia about how feminism “ruined” his secretaries. He understands (albeit in a way that can best be described as “dated”) that it’s a good thing that women are now able to be lawyers and businesspeople, he just preferred it back when his secretaries were intelligent and overqualified. The ones he had to hire towards the end of his career could barely put a sentence together. Of course, he could of learned to type and made the job better so an qualified, intelligent person would want it, but as I said, dated.
Conservatives like to talk about Scalia as an intelligent man with a sharp mind. Evidence or GTFO!
